Dolwilym won’t be your sort of place if you are:

- Averse to a spot of rain or the squelch of mud
- Worried about your fancy new car driving down a bumpy track
- Opposed to the occasional spontaneous guitar duet echoing across the valley at sundown
- Lacking in imagination

Our secluded holiday cottages on the boarder of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire in West Wales are just right for discerning travellers of all ages. We offer ‘green’ escapes, with spring water (not mains), recycling bins, environmentally friendly cleaning products, and locally sourced wood and organic produce (which we can order in advance for you, if you like).

Dolwilym is down a country track occupying an area of around 7 acres. Each building had a specific purpose when the property was run as an estate in Victorian times.

The Mansion Kitchen, which is the remaining part of the original mansion.

The original cellars of the mansion have been converted into a large (but not yet heated) outdoor swimming pool. There is also a bluebell wood, a stream and a secluded walled garden.

Owned by Giles Chaplin, who has run an antigues and architectural salvage business for the last forty years, Dolwilym is a beautiful crumbling estate with original features and bizarre sculptures and architectural objects scattered about the place.

Bed linen and towels provided. We provide one load of wood, please let us know if you require more and we will be happy to provide at an extra charge.
