The Mansion Kitchen sleeps up to seven.
This holiday property
is fitted with oil-fired central
heating and in addition the huge original cooking range, which has
been restored
(plus electric
cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, TV and video etc. It is on three floors
and has a wonderful top-floor balcony with views across the valley.
The accommodation consists of the original mansion kitchen on the ground
floor, with lounge and dining and cooking areas plus bathroom with original
huge bath, plunger and brass taps.
The first floor features a king-size bed and comfortable sitting area.
on the top floor are two attic type bedrooms - one with a double and
a single and one with just a double bed. It is spacious but also cosy.
Horseshoe and Longeared Bats have been around in the mansion for many
many years, and occasionally visit the attic bedrooms especially in the
late summer and autumn. We cannot guarantee you will see them, but if
you ring in advance we can let you know whether or not they have been
seen this year - bring your camera - you may be lucky.
Electricity is metred - cooking, lights, TV, fridge-freezer etc.
Central heating and hot water are oil-fired, metered and charged at whatever
it costs me.
Bed linen and towels provided. We provide one load of wood, please let
us know if you require more and we will be happy to provide at an extra
charge.
